Following an Extraordinary General Assembly held on Friday, November 3, GA voted to elect their new leader. Three TLP board members presented their candidacies for the presidency during the day. Mr Didier Alexandre Amani won with 59% of the votes expressed in the second round.

To ensure the fairness of the process, an Electoral Commission was established to supervise the electoral process and to ensure that the rules and procedures were respected.

Didier Alexandre Amani has been a coordinator of the TLP movement in Cote d'Ivoire since 2018. Throughout his journey, he has been involved in the actions undertaken by the organization and is convinced that active and civic participation is the key to the development of a more just and equitable society.

With his election, Didier Alexandre Amani will have the challenge of pursuing TLP's commitment to democracy, good governance and equal rights in Africa and throughout the world, while at the same time steering the improvement of governance to which the organisation is resolutely committed.

The GA warmly congratulated Mr Didier Alexandre Amani on his victory as President of TLP and wished him every success in all future activities undertaken within the movement.
