Advocacy program

This program, which began in January 2021, is funded primarily by our German partner Misereor. It aims to strengthen Tournons La Page's advocacy in Africa and Europe, particularly by producing reports and conducting advocacy missions. In this regard, for the year 2022 alone, three expert reports on rights violations and civic space in Niger, Chad and Togo were published. These reports have helped to fuel our advocacy and to raise awareness in the national and international media. Another focus of this program is to develop the communication of Tournons La Page: production of posters, layout of reports, animation of social networks...

Through this program, the members of Tournons La Page also participate in international events such as the World Social Forum in Mexico City, the Europe Sahel Summit in Madrid or the reception of the Honorary Citizen Award of the city of Lyon for our president.

It is within the framework of this project that we were able to invite a dozen members of the national coalitions to meet institutional actors in Europe. One of the highlights of the year was a workshop with the parliamentary deputy Nadège Abomangoli, Secretary of the Foreign Affairs Commission at the French National Assembly, on the theme "Democracy and Civil Society in Africa".

In addition, the program allowed the structuring of the TLP-Europe coalition through meetings and events, notably the celebration of the 8th anniversary of the movement.
