Rapport  Posté le 09:30 20-02-2023, modifié le 09:30 20-02-2023 par Tournons la Page

The Plateforme Droits Humains - PDH calls for action in a report released on February 14, 2023, in the face of shrinking civic space around the world, accentuated in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis.

PDH members - including Tournons La Page - have participated extensively in this report, sharing their concerns and the obstacles they have encountered in recent years. In particular, the organizations of the network denounce the instrumentalization of the Covid-19 crisis for the benefit of a narrowing of civic space and a repression of human rights. They also mention the different adaptations put in place by civil society.

This report is very revealing and allows us to become familiar with the major problems caused by this shrinking civic space. With this report, the PDH draws up a list of recommendations inviting the French and European authorities, but also the technical and financial partners to act urgently, in order to protect the space of civil society throughout the world.

A webinar open to the general public is scheduled for March 23, 2023, starting at 12:30 p.m., online, to outline the recommendations of the advocacy report, and to allow members of the Human Rights Platform to illustrate the recommendations with concrete examples.
