On July 24, 2023, Ibrahima Diallo, coordinator of Tournons La Page Guinée (TLP-Guinée) and head of operations of the National Front for the Defense of the Constitution [Front National pour la Défense de la Constitution – FNDC], was due to travel to France for a health check and to take part in the Summer University of Social Movements and Solidarity (UEMSS), when he was stopped at the airport by Guinean border police, without being presented with any document prohibiting him from leaving the country.

Ibrahima Diallo, released on May 10, 2023 after more than nine months of arbitrary imprisonment without trial, he was finally acquitted on June 13, 2023, without any court order banning him from leaving the country.

On June 1, 2023, on his way to the international forum on civic space organized by Tournons La Page Niger in Niamey, he had already been prevented from traveling by Guinean border police.

Tournons La Page, together with FIDH and OMCT, as part of the Observatory for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders, denounce this new course of action, illustrating once again the restriction of civic space in Guinea, and demand an end to the judicial and police harassment of Ibrahima Diallo and all human rights defenders in the country.
